
Ex-Security Guard Arrested for Breaking into Mukuru Office in Lilongwe

Police in Lilogwe have arrested a 30 year-old man on suspicion of allegedly broke into a Mukuru Office at Area 3, and stole a computer set among others, all valued K4 million on 20 June,2025.
Deputy spokesperson for Lilongwe Police station Sergeant Khumbo Sanyiwa, has confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Mundida Jusa.
According to Sanyiwa, the suspect, who previously worked at the premises as a security guard, allegedly gained entry into the office through the roof after cutting iron sheets and stole a computer set, monitor and a kettle.
“Jusa was discovered and apprehended by watchmen as he tried to get exit through the roof while in possession of the stolen items”, said Sanyiwa.
The suspect is currently in police custody and he will soon appear in court to answer breaking and theft charges.
Mundida Jusa hails from Kalumbu Village, Traditional Authority Njolomole in Ntcheu District.
