As a result of a Russian attack, more than 30 sites were damaged in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, including 27 residential buildings.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko on Telegram.

“The elimination of the consequences of the Russian attack has been ongoing in the Shevchenkivskyi district for 14 hours. The district suffered heavily. More than 30 damaged sites, including 27 residential buildings, three educational institutions, and nearly 40 vehicles. Just like the last time, an enemy missile struck a residential building and essentially pierced it down to the basement. Nine people were killed, and 25 were injured,” he wrote.

Tkachenko specified that throughout the day, 31 units of equipment removed over 600 cubic meters of construction debris. He added that search and rescue operations involved State Emergency Service specialists and law enforcement officers.

“Humanitarian aid centers have been operating in the district since morning, offering comprehensive support to residents. As of now, 72 victims have applied for a UAH 10,000 payout through the 'Care. Meeting Kyivans' program. Additionally, 23 applications have been submitted via the 'eRecovery' (eVidnovlennia) program. Sixteen people have also applied for housing rental compensation (UAH  40,000 upfront, then UAH  20,000 monthly),” he informed.

Tkachenko expressed his gratitude to everyone working at the scene of the tragedy — rescuers, police officers, medical workers, utility crews, and volunteers.

“The greatest pain is the death of children. A Russian missile took the lives of an 11-year-old girl and her mother. This is not just a tragedy — it's an irreparable loss that crushes the heart. No words can ease such pain. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We grieve with you,” Tkachenko said.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the ballistic missile that struck a five-story building in Kyiv on Monday was preliminarily identified as having a high-explosive fragmentation warhead.
