
Charles R. Schuttler
Mr. Charles R. Schuttler, 82, of Murray, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Schuttler was born to the late Robert and Jeanette Duensing Schuttler on April 6, 1943 in Melrose Park, IL. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, Vietnam Era, and then went on to retire from the Village of Lombard, IL Police Department. Mr. Schuttler was also in the Bay of Pigs Campaign and a member of the first LBL Bugle Corp for five years. Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW and proud NRA instructor during his time in police service and continued to support the NRA regularly. Kentucky was his second home by choice and was the love of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his twin brothers, John and Jim Schuttler.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Denise Schuttler of Murray; his sons, Charles Schuttler (Kristy) of Lombard, IL, Jason Schuttler (Brandy) of Winfield, IL; a sister, Susan Houston of Florissant, MO and three grandchildren, Winona, Brooke and Aleksie.
A private, family entombment will take place at Murray City Cemetery.

Mary Thompson
Mary Thompson, 93, of Hardin, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her home.
She was born Dec. 19, 1931, in Marshall County, Kentucky, to Aubrey Gore and Lillie Myers Gore.
She was a homemaker and seamstress at Corn Austin Clothing Store in Murray. She also worked alongside her husband, Mason, at South Marshall Elementary School. She loved spending time gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a longtime member of Hardin Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Mason Thompson; brothers, James Gore, Junior Gore and Larry Gore; a sister, Laverne Mardis; and her parents.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Teresa Thompson (Randall) of Murray; a son, Anthony Thompson (Shawn) of Wellington, Florida; a sister, Anna Sirls of Hardin; three grandchildren, Katie MacDonald of New Bern, North Carolina, and Aaron Thompson and Audrey Thompson, both of Wellington; and two great-grandchildren, Lina and A.J. MacDonald.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, with David Smith and Mike Burchett officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the funeral home.

Kenneth D. Baldwin
Mr. Kenneth D. Baldwin, 77, of Murray, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 in Murray.
Mr. Baldwin was born to the late John and Mildred Kaznowski Baldwin on March 3, 1948 in Buffalo, NY. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mrs. Brenda Baldwin.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Kenny Baldwin (April) of Murray, KY, Trevor Baldwin (Kirsten) of Dexter; KY; a brother, John Baldwin of Oldsaybrook, CT; a brother in law, Vincent Clinard of Murray, KY and four grandchildren, Ella Marie Baldwin, Keegan Parker, Kayden Pritchett and Harper Baldwin.
A private family burial will be held at Hicks Cemetery.
