Fatal collision in Hundred claims two lives as investigation continues

Two people are dead in Hundred after first responders from three counties were called to a two vehicle accident Wednesday around 2 p.m.

Two people are dead in Hundred after first responders from three counties were called to a two vehicle accident Wednesday around 2 p.m.

According to Hundred Mayor Chip Goff, one car crossed the center line and collided with a second vehicle head on. The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger died on route to the hospital.

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were transported to WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with non-life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for nearly five hours, but has since reopened.

The crash is under investigation pending scene reconstruction by the West Virginia State Police.
