Two women were left hurt after a car flipped on its side following a collision near to a McDonald's in Nuneaton. Emergency services responded to 999 calls to report the collision on St David's Way yesterday afternoon (June 25).

Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS), firefighters and police were spotted at the scene as the entrance to St David's Way, close to the McDonald's eatery, was blocked. A WMAS spokesperson said medics found two patients, both women.

They were treated at the scene for injuries not believed to be serious. They were then taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further care.

"We were called to reports of an RTC on St David's Way at Bermuda Park, Nuneaton at 5.40pm," the WMAS spokesperson said. "An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found two cars had been involved in a collision with one ending up on its side.

"Two women were treated by crews for injuries not believed to be serious and conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire."

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson added: "Officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle RTC on St David's Way in Nuneaton at 5.40pm last night. Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended.

"There was some disruption to traffic while the scene was cleared."
