AUSTIN, Texas — A person was evaluated for injuries after their apartment caught on fire in east Austin, according to the Austin Fire Department.
AFD said that firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 1940 block of Gaston Place in Austin.
AFD said that responding units found a single apartment with the fire, which they said was partially extinguished by the fire protection system.

AFD said that units successfully put the fire out, and that no firefighters were injured.
They said that the occupant of the apartment was evaluated by Austin-Travis County EMS for non-life threatening injuries.
