Officers seek information on hit-and-run that killed motorcyclist in Jackson County
“We ask anyone who may have been in the area or has dashcam footage to come forward.”
MOSS POINT, Miss. (WLOX) -The Moss Point Police Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol are seeking the public’s help for information about a deadly hit-and-run.
The multi-vehicle crash, involving a motorcycle on I-10 at Highway 63, happened Wednesday night. Michael Urbani, 62, of Vancleave, was killed.

Officers said Urbani was struck from behind by a black Chevrolet Malibu and crashed onto the road. Right after, a white 18-wheeler is believed to have struck Urbani while he was down.
According to authorities, both vehicles left the scene without stopping.
Officers are now seeking information regarding the two vehicles involved.
“We ask anyone who may have been in the area or has dashcam footage to come forward,” said Moss Point Police Chief Brandon Ashley.

“This is a tragic incident, and we are investigating every lead in order to bring those responsible to justice,” said Ashley.
