A biker has been seriously injured in a crash that has closed a section of the A30 today. The incident involved two cars and a motorcycle near Jamaica Inn at around 11am this morning, Friday, June 27.
The air ambulance was called to the site of the crash where the motorcyclist suffered a serious leg injury. His female passenger was also injured in the collision.
The eastbound carriageway of the A30 remains closed at the time of writing. There is heavy congestion on the westbound A30 in the area as drivers trapped by the eastbound closure are turned around by police.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 11.10am on Friday 27 June following a multi-vehicle collision on the A30 eastbound at Bodmin.
"The collision involved two cars and a motorcycle near Jamaica Inn.
"Ambulance, air ambulance and fire are also in attendance. The male motorcycle rider has sustained a serious leg injury.
"His female passenger has also suffered a leg injury which is not believed serious. The eastbound carriageway is closed.
"Traffic westbound is moving slowly as officers work to release motorists in the eastbound closure."
