HAVE FELT THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY. WE TOPPED OUT AT 99 DEGREES LAST WEEK AT GSP, MAKING IT THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR. WE HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF A BREAK FROM SOME OF THAT HIGH HEAT AND HUMIDITY, BUT NOT A WHOLE LOT OF RELIEF. BUT WE’LL TAKE WHAT WE CAN GET. FOR THE TIME BEING, THOUGH, WE’RE NICE AND DRY. KICKING OFF THE WEEKEND, BUT WE’LL CONTINUE TO SEE OUR TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE LOWER 90S FOR THE UPSTATE, NORTHEAST GEORGIA AND FOR WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA, PRIMARILY SITTING IN THE MID TO UPPER 80S, IT WILL FEEL QUITE A BIT WARMER, THOUGH WHEN YOU FACTOR IN THE HUMIDITY. SO TRY AND LIMIT SOME OF YOUR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THIS AFTERNOON AS IT’S STILL GOING TO BE DANGEROUS. HEAT. YOU GET DEHYDRATED SO QUICKLY NOW YOU’LL NOTICE OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS WE’RE STILL LOOKING AT FAIRLY SEASONABLE CONDITIONS. WILL BE IN THE LOWER 90S, SUNDAY INTO MONDAY, BUT BY TUESDAY TEMPERATURES ARE ACTUALLY TOPPING OUT IN THE UPPER 80S. NOT TOO BAD FOR THE START OF JULY. AS OR AS WE START GETTING INTO THE START OF JULY. AND THAT’S DUE TO A WEAK COLD FRONT THAT WILL HEAD OUR WAY AND IT WILL BRING OUR TEMPERATURES DOWN EVER SO SLIGHTLY, AND IT WILL BRING US SOME WELCOME RAINFALL. AS FAR AS THIS WEEKEND GOES, WE’RE LOOKING AT DRY CONDITIONS TO KICK OFF THE WEEKEND, BUT SIMILAR SETUP TO WHAT WE’VE SEEN HERE LATELY, THAT SUMMERTIME PATTERN BRINGS IN THOSE POP UP STORMS DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. MOST OF THE DAY WILL BE DRY UP UNTIL ABOUT TWO 3:00 IN THE AFTERNOON. AFTER THAT, WE START TO SEE ISOLATED SHOWERS BEGIN TO DEVELOP ACROSS WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA, AND THEN THIS WILL BEGIN TO COME BECOME MORE SCATTERED ACROSS THE REST OF OUR AREA DURING THE LATER PART OF THE DAY. AND JUST BEFORE SUNSET. NOW, ONCE THE SUN SETS, MOST OF THIS ACTIVITY BEGINS TO FIZZLE ON OUT, MAKING WAY TO A QUIET START SUNDAY MORNING, AND THEN RINSE AND REPEAT WITH THOSE POP UP SHOWERS AND STORMS BACK IN STORE FOR US SUNDAY AFTERNOON. AND YET AGAIN ON MONDAY. SO WE’RE HEATING THINGS UP HERE AT HOME, BUT ALSO IN THE TROPICS. TRACKING INVEST. 91 L THAT IS RIGHT AT THE BAY OF CAMPECHE. IT HAS SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30MPH PUSHING TOWARDS THE WEST NORTHWEST AT 12MPH. THE GOOD NEWS IS, IF IT DOES DEVELOP FURTHER IN THE NEXT 24 TO 48 HOURS, IT WILL BE VERY SHORT LIVED. IT IS GOING TO BRING A LOT OF ACTIVITY, PRIMARILY TO MEXICO, AS IT WORKS INLAND BY THE START OF NEXT WEEK. AND AT THAT POINT, EVEN IF IT DOES DEVELOP FURTHER, IT WILL QUICKLY BEGIN TO FIZZLE ON OUT AS IT MAKES LANDFALL IN THE COMING DAYS. BUT HERE AT HOME, WE’RE NOT TRACKING ANY TROPICAL IMPACTS, BUT WE ARE TRACKING THAT TYPICAL SUMMERTIME PATTERN EACH AND EVERY DAY. THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, WITH HIGHS IN THE LOWER 90S BY TUESDAY. A WEAK COLD FRONT SWINGS THROUGH, INCREASING OUR RAIN CHANCES AND BRINGING OUR TEMPERATURES DOWN EVER SO SLIGHTLY. TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. AND THEN THE GOOD NEWS IS, AS WE NEAR TOWARDS THE END OF NEXT WEEK, JUST IN TIME FOR THE 4TH OF JULY, WE’RE LOOKING AT NICE AN
