MINOT, N.D. — A man from here was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 2 near mile marker 148 in Ward County on Saturday, June 28.
At about 2:22 a.m., the man was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 traveling west along U.S. Highway 2 in Ward County when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, according to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
After failing to negotiate the curve, the vehicle entered the ditch and overturned, according to the release.
The driver, a 51-year-old man who has not yet been identified, was the only person in the vehicle and died at the scene, the release said.
Road conditions were good, and the weather was clear but dark.
The Minot Police Department, Minot Fire Department and Trinity Health Community Ambulance Service also responded to the crash, the release said.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
