Sheboygan Police Department officials have announced that Detective Todd Danen is has retired as of July 14 after 22 years of dedicated service with them and 33 total years in public safety.
Todd joined the department in 2003 after starting his career as a firefighter. He became a police canine handler in 2009, partnering with Kramer for 8 years, then was assigned to Farnsworth as the school resource officer in 2017. Todd found many innovative ways to build relationships with students and to support them and their families while he was at the school. His work as an SRO led to him being promoted to detective in August of 2021, where he has since become an expert in fire investigation.
Todd received the Life Saving Award in 2013, the Community Engagement Award in 2018 and the Meritorious Service Award in 2023. “We appreciate Todd’s hard work and willingness to take on new challenges throughout his career, and we are excited for his next chapter and the new challenges it brings,” Sheboygan PD officials stated.
