Former Wisconsin running back Nate White died of natural causes

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The City of Brookings Police Department in South Dakota concluded their investigation into the death of former Wisconsin running back Nathaniel White on Monday.
Police stated that White died of natural causes at his home at approximately 6:45 a.m. on June 25, 2025. The 20-year-old was found deceased in his bed by a roommate.
According to the release, it was determined that White died “suddenly of a medical event that disrupted his breathing and heart functions.”
The BPD did not find any criminality involved in his death, as it is being ruled a “natural, sudden death.”
