Pine Bluff Police identify suspect in July 18 homicide wanted for Capital Murder

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KATV) — The Pine Bluff Police Department have identified a suspect wanted in connection with the July 18 homicide that took place on S. Spruce Street.

Pine Bluff Police currently investigating homicide in 1200 block of South Spruce Street

PBPD is searching for 37-year-old Michael King Jr. for the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Markee Avery who was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound outside of his home. King is wanted for Capital Murder.

King is described as a black male, standing 5'9" and weighing 200 pounds. He is believed to be driving a 2025 Hyundai Sonata with an Arkansas Tag reading 891TWJ.

The public should not approach him as he is to be considered armed and dangerous.
