2 West Virginia girls win National Miss Amazing titles

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Two participants representing West Virginia won national titles at the National Miss Amazing Summit for celebrating girls and women with disabilities over the weekend.
On Sunday, Abby Grace Butler was crowned the National Preteen Queen, and Carrie Davis was crowned the National Mentor Queen.
Meredith Queen, a dedicated volunteer with the West Virginia Miss Amazing organization, accompanied the team to Chicago and served as a source of support, encouragement and guidance throughout the weekend.
“These young women weren’t just participants, they were powerful voices,” said Queen. “Watching them take the stage and then bring home two national titles was an unforgettable moment for all of us. West Virginia has every reason to be proud.”
The event brought together participants from across the country who celebrate the power, potential and unique voices of girls and women with disabilities.
“When you put a spotlight on these girls, they shine, and so does everything around them,” Queen added. “There is nothing more powerful than a girl who knows she belongs. These wins are just the beginning. This is West Virginia’s moment to grow something truly special.”
The next West Virginia Miss Amazing event is scheduled for Saturday, September 27th and will be held at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center in downtown Clarksburg.
Organizers of the event are actively encouraging families, educators and community members to help identify girls who could benefit from this empowering experience and visit missamazing.org & search for the West Virginia chapter.
