Bethany police officers responded to a possible murder-suicide around 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 29.

According to BPD, officers received a 911 call from the residence at 6908 Northwest 42nd Street. The calling party said they believed their son had shot and killed himself and his daughter.

At the scene, officers found two individuals who had suffered gunshot wounds in the backyard, an adult man identified as 29-year-old Billy Feaster and his daughter, 6-year-old Elizibeth Feaster.

Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders.

Police believe Billy shot his daughter, then turned the gun on himself and took his own life. Officials are still working to determine what led to the tragic event.

Bethany Chief of Police John Reid said, "This hurts us deeply, and we're on the outside looking in. This is absolutely tragic for the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with that family."

Officials spoke with the mother of the little girl and Billy's family. Investigators arrived at the scene around 11 a.m. and left around 5 p.m.
